I am Shima and I am the Marketing Manager at Bendigi Technologies Inc, creators of the Canadian Mortgage App and today I am gonna talk to you about what I call TraDigital Marketing.
What is it you ask? Well it’s a combination of traditional and digital marketing.
First let’s review those 2 marketing methods.
Basically, it’s a broad category that incorporates various types of advertising, campaigns and/or promotions. This type of marketing has been used by companies for many years and for the most part, has proven to be extremely successful.
Traditional marketing has worked extremely well mainly because in the past when you wanted to learn about current events you would read the newspaper, when you wanted to find a business you would search in the phonebook and when you were watching your favourite sitcom you didn’t have the option to fast forward through the commercials. So chances are some of the ads got through to you and ended up influencing your purchase decisions.
But companies these days are finding it harder to get their message across when only focusing on the the traditional way of marketing.
It’s still creating campaigns, advertising and promoting your product and service but through electronic media. Digital marketing utilizes multiple channels such as content marketing, online and social media ads, influencer marketing and SEO to help companies reach out and connect with their customers.
Digital Marketing can be very successful when used properly to targeted ideal consumers. Also holds effective when the right media platform is used at the right time. Seems easy enough.
When I see the same pair of shoes I was checking out a couple of hours ago appear on my Facebook page, I tell myself it must be a sign and that I should buy them, so I do. See I told you, there is nothing to it.
This is my favourite type of marketing, which is basically taking the best part of each method and making it work for your company and consumers. It’s having your cake AND eating it too.
With TraDigital Marketing, it’s not about “out with the old and in with the new”. It’s about keeping the classic methods that have been proven successful and incorporating new advancements.
